Oil pastels began to be developed in 1949 by Sennelier - for Pablo Picasso, who was looking for an oil pastel that has an intense color and can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces.

The result has the intensity and brilliance of the pastel color, is 100% U.V. and, because of the combination of non-aggressive oils and waxes, can be used on almost any surface, including paper, without cracking or effecting the substrate.

This set features 24 colors in the standard stick size comfortably nestled in a foam liner within a card box. Colors may vary depending on arrivals but the image provided shows a typical selection.

Comes with an A5 curtisward multi media artists paper pad containing 30 sheets of unbleached white medium-grain paper that is 160 gsm, acid-free, archival and 20% cotton.
